NEWS! Introducing the new CEO at MedicAlert UK 13 November 2024 Rob Burley appointed as our new Chief Executive We’re delighted to announce the appointment of Rob Burley as our new CEO. Rob is currently Director of Care, Campaigns and Support at Muscular Dystrophy UK, the UK charity for over 110,000 people affected by more than 60 muscle wasting and weakening conditions, which he joined in 2018. In this role, he has led significant growth in the reach of the charity’s support services and its engagement and partnership working with health professionals. Rob’s career has been dedicated to the charity sector with a focus on health and disability. Previous roles have included Breakthrough Breast Cancer (now Breast Cancer Now) and RNID. He is a Clore Social Leadership Fellow. Ian Fleming, Chair of MedicAlert said: “I’m thrilled that Rob is joining us as CEO to lead our next stage of growth as a charity. He has a great record of expanding the reach of services, engaging with members, growing income, and developing partnerships with both private and public sector stakeholders. He’ll be a terrific ambassador for MedicAlert as we work to help many more people with medical conditions to live better lives.” Rob Burley said: “I am delighted to be joining MedicAlert as CEO. I understand the stress and anxiety that can come from living with a serious health condition and the confidence that comes from knowing that first responders and health professionals will be able to provide the right care and assistance in an emergency situation. I am looking forward to joining the team, reaching more people with MedicAlert’s support, and strengthening our partnerships with health professionals and other organisations.” Rob will join us in January.
