The MedicAlert emergency line is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, so you can be sure that if you were to have an accident and are unable to speak for yourself, a first responder would always be able to call the emergency line, reference your unique GB number on the back or your Medical ID Jewellery and be able to gather medical details they require, so they can handle your current situation as safely and efficiently as possible.
The MedicAlert emergency service line is available in over 100 languages and dialects, so whether you're on a short European holiday or globetrotting across South East Asia, you can still have the peace of mind that MedicAlert brings. So how does it work? Our emergency line operator will detect what language is required and using the help of a translator, communicate with them in a three-way call so that they can gather all the medical information necessary and learn any additional info you've added to your MedicAlert record.
At MedicAlert, we have registered nurses on our team, who check all of our medical data, before it goes into our medical records, and before it goes onto our Medical ID jewellery. So you can be sure that all the information on our systems is accurate, and your most important information goes onto your jewellery. We are the only Medical ID Jewellery provider who does this.
With MedicAlert, you have free and unlimited access to your information stored with us. You can change or update it anytime by accessing it online, by post, or via advisers by phone so no detail is ever missed. We do this to make it as easy as possible for members to keep their information updated, so if the situation ever arises, emergency services will have access to current and accurate information. We also keep copies of all your critical medical files in one place, so your emergency or health care professional has easy access to all the information. Examples include Advance Decision, Implant documents or hospital letters etc.
All new members are entitled to one of our new and improved wallet cards for free. Our wallet cards display all your important information including a list of your medical conditions, allergies, what medication you are on and other medical information. As well as your name, GB number, emergency contact number and the details of your hospital and doctor. Making them very useful in an emergency situation, as well as for other purposes such as doctor appointments, when you are asked what medications you are taking etc. Our wallet cards are available to buy in the store, for all existing members.
