Some of the heart conditions our members live with

Currently, there are around 7.4 million people living with heart and circulatory disease in the UK, with someone struck by a heart attack every 6 minutes2. Our members live with many different heart conditions and other medical conditions. Our records show over 11,000 different conditions and medications are held in member records.

Hypertension or Hypotension

Also referred to as high blood pressure or low blood pressure.

Heart Disease

Such as cardiovascular disease or coronary heart disease.

Arrhythmia

Also known as an irregular heartbeat, this includes atrial fibrillation.

Cardiomyopathy

A general term for heart muscle diseases i.e. dilated cardiomyopathy.

Angina

Although this is not usually life-threatening, it is closely linked to the risk of having a heart attack or stroke.

Addison's Disease

Addison's disease is a rare condition that approximately affects 1 in 10,000 people and is often accompanied by a number of cardiovascular conditions.

Heart Failure

Congestive heart failure is a chronic progressive condition that affects your heart's pumping power.
